The world of insects is often forgotten photographic territory. But, Scott Hussey, who took the image at left, said that when he started getting down to the level of of these live insects his photography was amazingly bad. However, through experimentation he has produced some striking images. And, he shares what he’s learned with readers. Hussey looks at lenses, light, magnification, auto-focus as well as how to restrict a subject’s movements so that the shot is right. No insects were hurt in Hussey’s photos.
